Outlook for the climate target
The International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasted an increase of the power of 26 % until 2040.
The DNV GL outlook 2019 forecasted, that 8 times more renewable energy is needed, to
reach this goal of increasing until 1,5°C. In the outlook 2020 additional carbon capture storage is requested.
In the 2021 DNV GL's analysis they forecasted, that the global emission is reduced by 9 % until 2030.
The global temperature increases by 2.3°C until the end of the century.
In 2030 the world primary energy supply by fossil energy (natural gas, oil, coal) is forecasted from
DNV GL with around 128.000 TWh and in 2050 around 87.000 TWh.
This cannot be achieved by the actual renewable technologies.
At the moment the best places for the onshore wind power stations are occupied; the
offshore wind power stations are going more into the sea and requires a floating foundation.
The solar power is installed related to the actual technology.
