HIGH-ALTITUDE
WIND POWER STATION
The International Energy Agency forecasted an increasing of electricity with 150 % to the year 2050.
Taking into account the upper limit of the 1,5 °C global warming target, this additional demand for electricity can
only be covered by renewable energies.
These additional 42 000 TWh cannot be produced by the existing renewable power technologies.
In 2022 the production of electricity from renewable energy was 8800 TWh.
The potential of electricity from high-altitude wind power stations are nearly unlimited.
The energy of the high-altitude wind power station, which is placed in 10 000 m, is changed into hot air pressure
and forwarded to an air pressure tank on the surface of the earth and changed into power.
The essential technical aspects for the high-altitude wind power station are approved in several studies.
Due to the higher winds in 10,000 m and the possibility to add a diffusor, it is possible for one wind park to produce
between 8,5 – 17,5 TWh/year.
The planned production costs are between 3,43 – 6,72 EUR/MWh.
These are the lowest production costs for renewable energy and and even lower than from fossil energy.
The EBT for one wind park is forecasted between 608 – 1273 Mio EUR per year.
The planned market share in 2035 is 20 % of the global electricity market.
